She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard Franklin; her parents, Jesse Cates and Lizzy Cates; and her siblings, Vivan "Benny" Cates, Irene, Katie, Ernie, Nitzie "Jaunita" and Eileen.
She is survived by: her family Leonard Franklin; her children, Lonnie (Becky Franklin), Patricia (Rick Landreth) and David (Carolyn Franklin); her grandchildren, Celeste Franklin, Stephanie Ross, Jennifer, Josh Mattix, Sarah, Bryant Murphy, Christy, Ethan Foster, Amanda, Robert Harmon, Jeremy, Shana Landreth, Andrew, Melissa Hendrix, Christopher Franklin, Amy Franklin and Jason Kau; and her sisters, Sylvia Myerdirk, Opal Gayhart and Rosie Goin. She is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren; 10 great great-grandchildren.
