He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Herron and Florence Herron (Davis); his brother Ted Herron; and his grandson Luke Horton. He is survived by: his wife Elnora Herron; his children, Kina Horton (Joe), Tracie Linkous (Eric) and Jackie "Kip" Herron Jr.; his grandchildren, Garrett Horton (Kaylie Summers), Jackie Herron III and Levi Herron; his great grandchildren, Kolton and Scarlett; and his sister Deborah Hearn (Ora). He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
