He was predeceased by: his parents, Blair Hartman and Emma Hartman; his siblings, Mae Helsel, Arlene Smith, Laura Allen and Russell Hartman; his daughter-in-law Sherrie Hartman; and his grandson Kendall L. Hartman.

He is survived by: his children, George L. Hartman Jr. (Janie), Linda M. Long and Larry Hartman; his grandchildren, Michael Hartman (Katrenia), Russell Hartman (Becky), Jason Long (Jessica), Jennifer Million and Lori Jones (Shawn); his great grandchildren, Katie Jo Rodgers, Amanda Jordon (Aaron), Maddison Cataudella (Austin), Cadence Bolinger (Brent), Chloe Hartman, Tyler Hartman, Ellie Hoffman, Abby Lowen, Brittany Waller (Cody), Brianna Long, Sam Clammer III, Brenlee Long, Hayden Million, Camryn Beatie (Bret), Sophie Jones, Livi Jones and Ella Bay Jones; and his great great grandchildren, Bodhi Ray Rodgers, Addilyn Scout Jordan, Henry Stephen Cataudella, Paizlee Dawn Waller and Kai Alluna Waller. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
