He was predeceased by: his parents, Nora Pearl (Stapleton) and William Harrison Burnett; and his siblings, Maxine, Mary Faye, Betty, Ruth, Mildred, Marjorie and Ty.

He is survived by: his children, Mick Burnett (Stacia), Shelley Overack, Roger Burnett (Heather) and Jennifer Wiseman (David); his grandchildren, Ryan Overack, Rachel Choate (Trevor), Lauren Overack, Cole Wiseman, Whitney Burnett, Ty Burnett, Raquel Burnett, Gage Burnett, Brooke Burnett, Jenna Burnett and Mick Burnett; his great grandchildren, Zoey and Zander Choate; and the mother of his children Barbara Burnett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“My heartfelt condolences to your family. Tris was a wonderful man and one of my favorite people to play golf with. He always had a smile on his face and was so kind. He and Doc Boos were my playing partners on the links at Glen Eagles. The last time that I saw Tris was a few years ago at The Links GC in Bixby. He acted like he was so glad to see me again. The world lost a true gentleman. It was such a pleasure to have known him and to be able to call him my friend. God Speed Tris Burnett”
