He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy Edward and Ellen Louise Leverenz Cole; his wife Bonnie Lou Hall; his children, Tamara Kay Ogle, Shelley Anne Brady and Artie Cole (Helen); his grandchildren, Christopher Scott Leger, Justin Roy Brady, Austin James Brady, Trey Michael Brady, Dylan Joseph Ogle, Rachael Renea Siegle and Jessica Marie Ogle; and his brother Doy F. Cole. He was also cherished by 10 great-grandchildren.
