He was predeceased by: his son George Russell Tanton; and his parents, George Tanton and Grace Tanton. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Kay Tanton; and his children, Teresa Shaye (Chuck Shackles), Keith (Carol Tanton), Danna (Sam McFarland), John (Lisa Sullivan), Tanna (Randy Weaver), Chris (Angela Noyes) and Matthew (Rachel Tanton). He is also survived by his 24 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; on top of his large family of nieces and nephews.
