He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Leon and Oda Lavelle Hewitt (Foster); his children, Francis Burt and George Flud; his brothers, Stanley Lee Hewitt and Fred Hervill Hewitt; and his grandson Thomas Pleasant.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Hewitt of Broken Arrow, OK; and his daughter Peggy Cecil (Leonard Schumaker) of Broken Arrow, OK. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews.
