He was predeceased by: his daughter Amanda Calico (Boatman); and his brother Cleatus. He is survived by: his sons, Barney and Jonathan Boatman; his wife Peggy; his son Eric D. Boatman (Samantha); his sisters, Wanda Donica and Jane Phelps; and his sisters-in-law, Kathy Boatman and Linda McKay. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
