He was predeceased by: his parents, Van Barrett and Josephine Barrett; his daughter Lisa; and his siblings, JoAnn James and Kenneth Barrett.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene; his children, Shawn Barret (Brooke) of Bristow, Shane Barrett (Brandi) of Bristow, Russell Ryker (Michelle) of Sand Springs and Tina Bevans (Bryan) of Broken Arrow; and his sister Dolores Lippert. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
