He was predeceased by: his parents, E. N. Denney and Josephine Denney (Parsons); and his sister Cynthia Sandefur. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Uptygraft; his sons, Jeff of Los Angeles and Jason of Oklahoma City; and his sister Jane Both of Rowlett, Texas..
