She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Kuykendall and Katie Kuykendall; her son Gary Dean Pinson; her husband Pete Dowdy; her siblings, Boyd Kuykendall, Dale Kuykendall and Willa Murphy; and her great great grandchild Aubrey Rayne.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Gene Pinson and Kathleen Roberts; her grandchildren, Renda Darnell (Robert), Eric Roberts, Jennifer Conkling (Charles) and Jeff Roberts (Kari); and her brother Sonny Kuykendall of Eufaula, Oklahoma.. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren, and twelve great-great grandchildren with one great-great grandchild.
