He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Jackson and Rebecca Elizabeth Louvisa Messer; and his brothers, James Messer and Roy Messer. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Messer; his children, Tammy Shelton (Tommy) and Tony Messer (Shanna); his sister Shirley Lee; and his grandchildren, Quentin Messer, Courtney Messer, Grant Shelton, Sophia Shelton, Hudson Shelton, Wyatt Messer, Matthew Shelton and Dawson Shelton. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
