He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lem Farmer and Verna Lewis; his daughter Marzetta Kay Barksdale of Southwest Oklahoma; his granddaughter Sandra Michelle Sullivan; his great grandchild Donequea LeShea Farmer; his great great grandchild Ny'elle Michelle Rose Farmer; his children, Diane Tiger of Oklahoma City, Denetta Johnson of Oklahoma City, Della Smittick of Tulsa and Leon Farmer Jr. "Sunny" of Jenks; his wife Willie Mae Barksdale Farmer; and his children, Derial Gene Farmer, Delbert Farmer, David Johnson and Debra Johnson.
