He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Thomas and Thelma Christina Williams; his wife Jenitta Joslen; his son James Robert Williams; and his brothers, Jack Williams, Charles "Cotton" Williams and Billy Don Williams.

He is survived by: his sister Shirley Bethel of Bristow. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces and cousins.
