He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Matlock and Bertha Matlock; and his wife Penny Elaine Matlock. He is survived by: his children, James Matlock Jr. and April Smith; his sisters, Linda Dearman and Carolyn LeGrand; and his grandchildren, Sierra Green and Jessica Matlock. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
