He was predeceased by: his mother Della Mae Peeler; his son Wayne Yates; his father Arthur Yates; his parents-in-law, Homer and Katie Belle Goodson; his grandsons, Jay Yates and Tommy Kelly; his sisters, Betty Ross and Virginia Limmenn; his daughter-in-law Michele Yates; and his nephew Jim Ross.
He is survived by: his children, Tommy Yates, Terry Yates (Lynn), Gary Kelly (Dolly) of Lane, OK, Janice Chavers (Robert) and Loretta Reeves (Billy) of Stringtown, OK; his wife Georgia Yates; his grandchildren, Vicki Wright (Jeremy), Andrew Chavers (Jamie), Chad Reeves (Shelli), Emily Smoot (T. J. Tushka), Brandon Yates, Rowdy Yates, Ashley Johnson and Ashley Maxey of Farris, OK; and his great grandchildren, Landon, London Reeves, Jaxsen, Brynli Wright, Addison, Blakely Chavers, Lily, Ally Jo Smoot, Kanyon Packwood, Adlee Johnson, Carter and Jaycee Maxey. He is also survived by 4 sons, 2 daughters, 8 grandchildren, & 12 great grandchildren.
