He was predeceased by: his parents, Sybil Brewer (Hollaway) and Robert Brewer; his daughters, Donna Clenney and Cynthia Wilson; and his brothers, Sonny Brewer and Virel Brewer.
He is survived by: his wife Delia Brewer; his sons, John Wayne Oliver (Alia) and DJ Oliver; his siblings, Linda Martin, Edna Frahm, Boyd Brewer (Betty), Robert Brewer and Bobby Brewer; and his sisters-in-law, Glenda Brewer and Veronica Brewer. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
