He was predeceased by: his parents, John McVay and Hannah McVay (Gaston); his mother-in-law Cathryn Kimbrough; his brothers, Floyd, Earl and Johnny McVay; his granddaughter Montica Kelley; and his son-in-law Grover Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Dille (Kimbrough); his children, Mike McVay of Miami, Curtis McVay (Debra) of Bluejacket, Kim Smith of Vinita, Brent Kelly of Ritchey and Lisa Kelley of Vian, Oklahoma; and his siblings, Kenny Ray McVay (Leslie) of Arlington, Texas and Betty Whitehead (Clyde) of Seneca. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
