He is survived by: his parents, Ray Ayres and Violet Ayres (Barrett); his spouse Ruby Beehler; his former wife Ruby Hollandsworth of Bluejacket; his son Royce Ayres; and his brother Don Ayres of Brenham, Texas. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
