He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul G. Hanes and Verda G. Hanes (Morris); his daughter Brenda Peetoom; and his brother Joe Hanes. He is survived by: his wife Bernice Hanes (Wolcott); his sons, Sam Hanes (Julie) and Brian Hanes (Rosann); his grandchildren, James Tracy (Melissa), Jessie Waggoner (Clint), Colt Hanes (Madison) and Hannah Hanes; and his great grandchildren, Beckett, Jude, Wren Hanes, Jonathan, Luke Waggoner, Cooper Osborn, Emma Tracy and Emmory June.
A reception was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel (201 N Wilson St, Vinita, OK 74301).
