He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Robert and Eva Judith Nigh (Mitchell); and his siblings, Audra, William F., Wilber Eugene, Thomas Earl and Robert Delmont Barton.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice Stoffer; his sons, Robert "Bob" Nigh (Pat) and Douglas Nigh (Linda) of Bluejacket; and his grandchildren, Chancie Nigh, Clinton Nigh, Lynn Brown and Bo Nigh. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
