He is survived by: his sons, Tommie Townsend (Shirley), Tonie Townsend, Mark Townsend (Sarah) and Monty Townsend (Kim); his granddaughter Heidi Sherman (family: Arlo Hurst, Joe Bates, Tyler Townsend, Bryce Townsend); his great grandchildren, Ryder Townsend, Stanton Townsend, Tanner Harvey Townsend and Kylee Townsend; his siblings, Joyce Daves, Margaret Claborn-Calahan, David Townsend and Jerry Townsend (Jody); and his siblings-in-law, Donnie Burton (Frances), Walter Wood, Helen Timothy (John) and Ruth Burton. He is also survived by many friends and family.
