With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry Leon Wood of Blackwell, Oklahoma, born in Winfield, Kansas, who passed away on October 11, 2021 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Larry Leon Wood to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Leon Wood and Emma Hazel Dorris Wood; and his brothers, Robert Eugene Wood, Johnny William Wood, Kim Arnold Wood and Haze Bryan Wood.

He is survived by: his wife Joetta Turner; his children, Larrietta Lauderdale (Dan) of Afton, Oklahoma, Patricia Bowen (late Bill Bowen) of Independence, Kansas, Walter (Wendy Wood), Robert (Jill Wood) and Dewayne (Tobi Wood); and his siblings, Patricia Hulseman of Kimberling City, Missouri, Barbara Gurnee (Jack) of Hallowell, Kansas, Roy Wood (Hyla) of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Kerry Wood (Linda) of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Dora Shelton of Forsyth, Missouri.. He is also survived by several grandkids, one great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews that he considered to be his own kids.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Larry's memory to the Blackwell Tabernacle church for the remodel fund.
