He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Edward and Anna May Collyar (Bushman); his son Ronald Keith Collyar; and his siblings, Velva, Cloren, Lorene, Charles and Richard.

He is survived by: his former wives, Norma Joy Almack and Irma Lucille; his wife Glenda Collyar of Irving, Texas; his daughters, Debbie Sills of Norman and Paula Wayman of Norman; and his stepchildren, Dwayne West of Irving, Carol Bolfing of Waco, Texas and Robert Collyar of Ponca City. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren; and several step-great grandchildren.
