He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Jones and Richard Jones. He is survived by: his sister Susan Martin; his wife Bonita; and his grandchildren, Chloe, Brenden, Cydney Norton, Layla Jones, Cameron, Andrew Talburt, Henry and Benjamin Cornell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Dr. Jones name to either Creighton University or Nebraska University Stem Program.
