Kathleen Ann Houston Obituary
Kathleen Ann Detamore Houston, an octogenarian of one of the greatest generations, passed away on Saturday, February 2 in her home in Bixby, Oklahoma in the presence of her daughter Margie, granddaughter Jennifer and grandson Joseph. Kathleen graduated from Marquette high school in 1956 where she was homecoming football queen.
She was further educated at Tulsa University and a member of the Chi Omega sorority. She started her business career as a secretary with Warren Petroleum and rose to other prominent positions to finalize her career as a general manager for Red Lobster. She married Albert Houston in 1958 and had two children. She celebrated her 80th birthday with many friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John P. and Ida Salyne Detamore; sister, Nancy Hensy and brother, Bill Detamore. She leaves behind her son John Houston and wife Dottie; grandson, John Houston; daughter, Margie Houston; granddaughter, Jennifer Boone; grandson, Joseph Boone and wife Becky, as well as two great grandchildren Bryce and Kenadi Boone.
Services will be Wednesday, February 6th with a family graveside service at Calvary cemetery at 10 AM, followed by a memorial and reception at Southwood Colonial Chapel at 11 AM. SERVICES Memorial Service.
