It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Richard Young (Bixby, Oklahoma), born in Lubbock, Texas, who passed away on January 15, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl H. Young and Aline C. Young; and his brother Carl Young III. He is survived by: his sisters, Suzzanne Stark (Jeff) of Connecticut and Mary Kushnir (Ken) of New Mexico; his nieces and nephews, Lizzie Oliphint (Kyle) of Texas, Anna-Liisa Nixon (Jared) of Connecticut, Kayla Vaughn of Tulsa, John Young (Nicole) of Tulsa, Benjamin Joseloff (Taryn) of Connecticut, Mason Kushnir (Sarah) of Virginia and Kyle Kushnir of New Mexico; his former wife Carolyn Bridges of Tulsa; and also Shari Dabby (Jordan) of New York. He is also survived by eight great nieces and seven great nephews.
Donations in Doug's memory may be made to Gilcrease Museum, the Tulsa Zoo, or a tree may be planted in his honor.
