Doris Ella Smith Collins
March 30, 1936 – April 24, 2021

Doris was born to Lewis and Eula Violet Smith in Seminole, Oklahoma. She grew up in the oil patch communities of Oklahoma in harsh and poor conditions.

On November 06, 1955, she married Duane Edgar Collins from Maud, Oklahoma. They were married for 47 years and had two children Carla Louise and Doyle Wayne Collins.

Doris had a long successful career as an administrative secretary in corporate and public services in both Oklahoma and Florida.

Doris was proceeded in death by her husband Duane Edgar Collins.

Doris is survived by Sister Louise Pierce, daughter and son-in-law Carla L. and John Ryker, son and daughter-in-law Doyle W. and Jennifer Collins, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, five nephews and one niece. Doris is also survived by her partner of 18 years, Patrick Amarose who lives in Florida.

Doris spent the last ten months of her life under the care of her daughter Carla L. Ryker in Bixby, Oklahoma.
