He was predeceased by: his parents, Orven Shanks and Ina Shanks (Ramey); his children, Lisa Cox and Billy Wayne Shanks; and his siblings, Alva Ray Shanks and Wanda Lee Fulps.
He is survived by: his wife Myrna; his daughter Dana Marshall (Rich); his grandchildren, Tyler Cox, Tanner Shanks, Hunter Shanks, Ashley Rutter (Brett), Clayton Marshall (Samantha) and Adam Marshall; his great grandchildren, Brett, Brady, Barrett and Abby; his siblings, Sam Shanks and Doris Shanks; and his sister-in-law Christine Shanks.
