He was predeceased by: his father Al C. Apitz, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Elaine Apitz; his sons, Thomas David Broken Arrow (Irma) and Benjamin Oscar "Bo" (Ashley); his grandchildren, Tom Jr., Samuel Elijah, Elle Oria, Abigail Grace, Amelia Rose and Lyon Owen; his sisters, Anna Baltimore, MD (Silverman), Alice (Daglen), Amy and Arlene (Ainslie); and also Mildred Frommel Apitz of Topeka, KS.

Family suggests contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
