With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Janet Joan McDowell of Binger, Oklahoma, born in Homer, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Janet left this world on February 27, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eleanor Stoutin (Black) and George Stoutin; her husband Paul E. McDowell, Jr.; and her brothers, Edward Stoutin and George Stoutin.
She is survived by: her children, Steve McDowell (Sheree) of Roscoe, IL, Mike McDowell (Gwynn) of Edmond, OK, Mark McDowell of El Reno, OK, Lisa McDowell and Johnny Williams of Binger, OK; her grandchildren, Jeffrey McDowell, Michael McDowell, Kelly Scudder, Erin McBurney, Matthew McDowell, Kristi Ayers, Wesley McDowell, Shannon McDowell, Jennifer McDowell, Eric Tolentino, Patric Tolentino, Colter McDowell, Austin McDowell, Rachel McDowell, Megan McWethy, David Brown and Sean Williams; and her sister-in-law Donna Stoutin. She is also survived by 32 great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (204 N Clark, Hinton, OK 73047). A reception will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hinton Turner Funeral Home (123 Park St, Hinton, OK 73047). A committal service will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery (2648 NE Jake Dunn Rd, Elgin, OK 73538).
