He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvel Bert Ballenger and Ruby Odena Ballenger (Hopkins); his wife Mary; his daughter Lori Gaye Cartwright; and his brothers, Billy Lee Ballenger and Roy.
He is survived by: his children, Lonnie Ballenger (Mandy) of Keene, Tammy Malone of Big Cabin, Vicki Roulet (Dennis) of Vinita and Carri Stanley of Houston. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren, numerous other relatives, and friends.
