Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Valerie Jean Barnes (Bethany, Oklahoma), who passed away at the age of 64, on January 1, 2025. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ray Weyandt and Margaret Weyandt (Villa); her brother Tony; her sister-in-law Dana Weyandt; her son Elijah; her daughter-in-law Lori Barnes; her daughter Tara Barnes; her grandchildren, Riley, Presley, Briston, Beckham, Isabella and Malachi; and her nieces, Tiffany Kear and Pamela Weyandt.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mercer-Adams Chapel (3925 N Asbury Ave, Bethany, OK 73008).

Whether it was through her thoughtful words, gentle hands, or the tireless hours she gave, her contributions to the field were immeasurable.

“I am so saddened by the news that Valerie has passed on. I know she will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Valerie is a second cousin through my maternal grandfather, Chester Weyandt. Though I only met her in person when we were children, I enjoyed following her family on Facebook and also playing words with friends. I discovered that we both lost our father at an early age and our mother’s were the same age, and both passed around the same time. God bless her and her family, always💜”
