He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Schroeder and Doris Schroeder. He is survived by: his sister Nancy Johnson (Richard); his nephew Tim Rykken (Frieda); and also, Isaac, Ryan, Jennifer, Sarah and Chase Barnett.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Messiah Lutheran Church or to Good Shepard Hospice.
