He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Hulsey and Anna Hulsey; his wife Dorothy Rowan; his sister Thelma Shortreed (Hulsey); and his grandson-in-law Eric King.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Hulsey (Jan) and Sharon Smith (Doyle); his grandchildren, Janna Rothwell (Tim), Rachel Smith, Jill King, Jeffrey Smith (Theresa), Aaron Smith (Sara) and Jessica McDaniel (Mike); and his great grandchildren, Morgan Hardin (Ben), Evan Rothwell, Peyton, Kaylen, Emerson King, Kaedan, Benjamin, Ian Smith, Austin, Riley Smith, Caleb and Audra McDaniel.
