He was predeceased by: his parents, A. C. Willis and Joyce Katherine Perry (Jones). He is survived by: his significant other David Keever; his son Larry Willis Jr.; and his sisters, Sandy Spurgeon (Steve), Debbie Nickell, Donna Gilmore and Connie Bronkhurst.

Contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation.
