With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Anthony Barter Sr. (Bethany, Oklahoma), who passed away on November 24, 2024 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Barter and Elizabeth Barter (Helton); his wife Debra Sue Barter; his daughter Mindy Sue Barter; and his brother William E. Burchfiel (Eddie).
He is survived by: his sons, Joe Jr. (Stephanie Barter) and Jake Barter; his grandchildren, Jerek Barter and Jaden Barter; his brother John; and his siblings-in-law, Penny Barter, Craig Thummel and Alan Thummel (Karen). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Bill Merritt Funeral Service (6201 NW 39th Expy, Bethany, OK 73008). A committal service will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Frederick Cemetery (18045 County Rd NS 220, Frederick, OK 73542).
