He is survived by: his parents, William Clinton and Vinnie Jim Harris Brewer; his son John F. Brewer, Jr.; his close friend Genevieve Brewer; his grandson Mark Brewer of California; his sister Marcia Massey; his sister-in-law Bobbye Brewer; and his siblings, Peggy Criswell, Helen Mellinger, Bill Brewer and Jim "Hugo" Brewer.
