He is survived by: his wife Melissa Burr; his brother Jim; his sister-in-law Vickie Gilbert; and his children, Brooke (Dave Zacheis), Vince (Michele Gilbert), Chris Gilbert (Christa Ensey), Belle Gilbert and Ashley Gilbert. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; as well as 8 nephews and 3 nieces.
