It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Harold Dwayne Akin (Bethany, Oklahoma), who passed away on March 18, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his former wife Sally Ann Duffy; and his siblings, Kenneth, Betty, Jerry, Helen and Jack.

He is survived by: his parents, Viola "Bobbie" Akin and Dan Akin; his sons, Kevin (Leslie), Jeff (Tiffany) and Harold; his wife Judy Akin; his sons, Scott (Reagan) and Zac (Mckenzie); and his grandchildren, Jake (Hannah), Abbey, Katie, Ainsley, Brady, Owen, Hudson and Carter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

We kept running into each other later. In 1967 I ran into him at a taco restaurant in SanDiego where he was playing for the Chargers and I was in the Navy.
