He was predeceased by: his father R. E. Griggs; his siblings, Harold Griggs and Rosie Daugherty; and his stepmother Lula Griggs. He is survived by: his wife Georgia Griggs; his children, Patricia Dodd (Griggs), Heath Dodd, Jerrod Dodd (Whitney Dodd), Derrick Dodd (Dusty Dodd) and Del Griggs (Annette); his grandchildren, Michol Griggs, Michelle Griggs, Chris Ludwig and Nick Ludwig; his great grandchildren, Aidan, Wyatt, Kelby, Leah, Kylar and Leeah; his sister Mary Lou Gambel (Tom); and his pet Sweetie. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
