She was predeceased by: her parents, Ian Hibbs and Grace Hibbs (Jones); her husband Lt. Frank Ely; her siblings, Roger Hibbs, Marie Doughty and Mary Josephine Gunter; and her son Kevin Ely.

She is survived by: her daughter Leslie Fisher; her daughter-in-law Debbie Ely; her grandchildren, Chris Ely (Katie), Lori Ely and Michael Fisher; and her great grandchildren, Gabby and Hazel Ely.
