Eldon Glen Folks Obituary

We bid farewell to Eldon Glen Folks of Bethany, Oklahoma, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 20, 2024 at the age of 90 after a fierce battle with cancer. Eldon touched countless lives with his stories of living on "the farm", time spent in the army, watching westerns, playing dominos, checkers, and enjoying a good cup of coffee with friends and family. We learned some of the best stories of his past and his deepest love for his wife Meg with the time he had to spend on earth without her.

Eldon had a sharp sense of humor and he never portrayed as something he was not. You either loved him or you didn't really know him. He had a wit about him and a grin that always let you know the truth.

In the echoes of fond remembrance, may we find a sense of peace, knowing that the memories we hold dear will continue to shape and inspire us, keeping Eldon's spirit alive in our hearts and actions. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on respectfully with his morals and faith and the joy we find in the ordinary moments of life. He joined in heaven; his parents, Caesar and May Folks, 3 brothers (Homer, Dale, & Leroy Folks), and his sister Rachel Amen.

His wife of 64 years and the person he missed dearly his last 7 years on earth, Meg Folks, his grandson Wyatt (Holman) Folks, and many other beloved family members and friends. Eldon and Meg raised 4 children; Carla Folks, Beth Rowe (Rick), Alan Folks (Candace), & Jo Hayes. He and Meg took tender care of all their children and grandchildren; Heather Hayes-Smith (Damon), Ryan Folks, Megan Hayes-Wyant (Jayci), Sarah Dahlgren, Nick Richardson (Melissa), & Janna Shipes.

Two great-grandchildren; Arya Richardson and Ryder Wyant. He is also survived by his sisters Dorothy Ewing, and Marilyn Tautfest. Eldon left us behind with cherished memories that will forever echo in our hearts.
