He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Jones and Helen Earley; his adoptive father Derald Shepherd; his brother David Shepherd; and his stepson Ervin Barrett.
He is survived by: his children, Danny, David and Judy; his former spouse Derald Shepherd; his daughter Lisa Barrett; his wife Carolyn; his sisters, Judith Clopp of Yukon, OK and Laura Shepherd-Madsen (Pete); his stepgrandchildren, Blaine (Cindy) and Amber Shaw; his niece Paula Ward (David); and his nephew Matthew Clopp (Shannon).
