He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Bean and Vonnie Pauline Bean; his siblings, Fern DuBois, Leeford and Cecil; and his daughters, Penny Blankenship and Laura Nuckols.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen; and his children, Gregory Bean (Tonya), Jeffery Bean (Tina), Carlene Scurlock, Bridgett Smith and Debra Gillmore. He is also survived by 14 grandkids and 22 great grandkids.
