He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mashburn and Lula Mashburn; his stepson Doyle Howerton; and his siblings, Ora, Jettie, Doris, Dwaine, John, Marie and Janice.
He is survived by: his children, Rita Luann Nichols (Randall) of Bennington, Trayc James Byrd (Jacob) of Ft. Worth, Jason Martin (Anni) of Edmond and Kelsey Ward (Jason) of Bennington, Oklahoma; his stepson Boyce Ake (Ann); his stepgrandsons, Brad Ake of Austin and Mark Ake of Denver, Colorado; his stepdaughter Rozell Hellmann; and his stepgrandchildren, Rhonda Kriby (Kevin) of Brownwood, Randy Hellman of Scottsdale and Russ Hellman of Frisco, Texas. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
