As Vera Jean departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Vera Jean. Though Vera Jean may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Bethel and Beulah Bethel (Davis); her siblings, Bill Bethel, Doris Ann Collins and Betty Joyce Hudson; and her son-in-law Jerry Hammond.
She is survived by: her children, Janie Hammond of Beggs and Jack Baker (Ginger) of Beggs. She is also survived by grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home - Beggs (205 W Main St, Beggs, OK 74421). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Beggs (506 N Broadway St, Beggs, OK 74421).
