We bid farewell to Laurel Weldon Dowden of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 4, 2025 at the age of 90. Laurel Weldon touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Laurel Weldon may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Laurel Weldon touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Dowden and Lucile Dowden (Orrsburg); and his grandfather Jess Dowden. He is survived by: his sister Mary (Bonnie Thorp); his children, Scott (Laura Dowden) and Tanya (Mike Reece); his wife Betty Dowden; his sons, Thomas (Terrye Dowden) and Mark Dowden of Atlanta Georgia; and also, Jess, Franklins and Weldon. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
