She was predeceased by: her parent Odessa Leta Purvis (Johnson); her husband John Erickson Burleigh; her parent Jesse Eargle Purvis; her brother Jesse Eargle Purvis, Jr.; her grandson Christopher Burleigh Lofton; her sisters, Mildred Casey and LaVera Crownover; and her sister-in-law Margaret Ridenour (Burleigh).
She is survived by: her children, Leta Carol Lofton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, John David Burleigh (Allison) of West Linn, Oregon, Vicki Lynne Newman (Monty) of Maryville, Tennessee, Lea Anne Ward (Tony) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Darrell Wayne Burleigh of Fenton, Michigan.; and her grandchildren, Clyde Terence Lofton, Craig William Lofton, Benjamin Lofton (Kati), John Scott Burleigh (Sophie), Jaclyn Dianne Burleigh Sousa, Ryan Dean Newman (Kayna), Reagan Kyle Newman, Austin Charles Davis (Daina) and Adrianne Lea Adams (Steven). She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory (1600 SE Washington Blvd, Bartlesville, OK 74006). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Park Church of Christ.
