It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Roma Houk of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, born in Iola, Kansas, who passed away on November 13, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Benjamin "Dutch" and Roma Bonnie "Olive" DeMeritt (Colwell); her husband Darrell Duane Houk; and her brother Dennis DeMeritt. She is survived by: her daughters, Darci Shelton (Craig), Marta Houk and Roma Waidner (John); her sister DeAnna Gerber; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Shelton (Nicole), Jason Shelton (Lesley), Nicole Bookhout (Court) and Matthew Waidner (Veronica). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory - Walker Brown Chapel (4201 Nowata Rd, Bartlesville, OK 74006). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church (3700 Woodland Rd, Bartlesville, OK 74006).
